ABOUT US

OFFICE 24|7 ARCHITECTURE focuses on unique curatorial and design methodologies of combining spatial understanding with innovative ways of re- interpreting museums, exhibitions and cultural space. The practice collaborates across disciplines and works across fields. Narrative acts as a framework to making an architecture that aims to broaden our imagination and stimulate engagement.

The practice was founded in 2002 and has received numerous awards for its work.   OFFICE 24|7 is  registered with the South African Council for Architects, is a member of the Gauteng Institute of Architects and is a corporate member of the South African Institute of Architects.

 


AWARDS


2017: Pretoria Institute for Architecture Award of Commendation for Maropeng Experience Lab.

2017/18: World Interior News shortlisted in the Museums category for Maropeng Experience Lab.

2016: South African Institute of Architects Award of Commendation 2015/16 for  the Moruleng Cultural precinct

2014  -2015: Pretoria Institute for Architecture Award of Merit  and PIA Best Public Architecture Award for Moruleng Cultural precinct

2013-2014: South African Institute of Architects Award of Merit 2013/14 for the heritage additions and renovation of Herbert Bakers ‘Kleine Schuur’.

2012-2013: The Heritage additions and renovation of Herber Bakers  ‘Kleine Schuur’ was awarded a Gauteng Institute  for Architecture , GIFA Award for Architecture.

2005: Honorary mention in the contest for the memorial-museum

for the victims of the Tsunami in Khao Lak, Thailand.
